The upper arm blood pressure monitor is part of A&D's "Wellness connected" product family. The product family includes the blood pressure monitor, a digital scale and a digital thermometer. These devices are all connected via an app and offer a complete overview of the measured vital signs. All three products are available with Bluetooth Smart to allow home users to seamlessly connect the devices to their smartphone, tablet, PC, etc. The free A&D app allows data to be collected and transmitted to a primary care physician or other family members. The data can be viewed at any time.

Detect irregularities in heartbeat

Irregular heart beat (IHB) is detected immediately. In case of frequent detection, the user should ask the doctor for advice. Irregular Heart Beat (IHB) technology was first developed by A&D in 2001 and is now available in all blood pressure monitors. This A&D technology is now used worldwide and helps detect arrhythmias - including AFib (or atrial fibrillation). It is not used for diagnosis, but only for monitoring purposes. The monitor also benefits from extremely accurate oscillometric blood pressure measurement, developed and patented by A&D in 1984.

Combined with the A&D app, blood pressure, weight and BMI trends are tracked. A&D Connect guides users through a simple device setup process, provides results, goals and trends, and allows data sharing with family and a primary care physician.
