Quick Start Guide
STEP 1
Attach the rear arm connector to the headset body. The connector should slide fully into the slot and the arm should be flush with the body.
STEP 2
Attach a sensor to the end of each arm with the sensor pads facing inward. The sensors should snap in place and be flush with the arm. Charging the Insight: Charge the Insight with the included cable. The Insight will attain full charge in about 2 hours. Turning the Insight ON and OFF: The Insight’s ON/OFF button is above the charging port.
STEP 3
Position the reference sensors to touch the skin behind the ear. It is critical that the reference sensors make contact with the skin behind the ear. If necessary, gently bend the reference sensor arm so that the sensors make contact with the skin. Frontal sensors should align above each eye and should be positioned about three finger widths above the eyebrows. If necessary, remoisten the sensor pads with the rehydration solution.

I do not receive a green signal
Please follow these steps for Insight:
The troubleshooting Thumb Bridge Troubleshooter is a method of checking the functionality of the Insight headset, regardless of the head shape or fit.
- Make sure your Insight headset is fully charged.Plug the Insight charging cable into the headset and plug or unplug the cable to a working USB port on your computer Connect the cable to a power outlet with a USB adapter. (Note: If you are using a computer, make sure it does not go into sleep mode. The headset does not charge when the computer goes into sleep mode or is turned off.) Charge the Insight for 24 hours. Then proceed to the next step.
- Using a USB dongle or Bluetooth, connect the Insight to a computer or mobile device running an emoticon application. In the specified application, the contact quality card displays the contact quality of each channel that corresponds to the Insight sensors.
- Place the thumb of one of your hands BOTH sensors on the reference arm. The reference arm is the black, flexible extension that comes from the lower left side of the Insight. Make sure the thumb has strong contact with both sensors, otherwise the test will not work.
- Hold down both reference sensors and gently squeeze them together. With the other hand, gently press one of the other sensors so that your thumb has strong contact with the sensor field.
- Turn on the headset and start the signal acquisition by waiting 5 to 10 seconds.
- On the contact quality card, the corresponding channel of the sensor being pressed should change from black to red or yellow and then green. The channel should stabilize and remain green as long as you continue to press the sensor.
- If necessary, repeat steps 3 through 6 for each sensor to test the full functionality of all channels.
* The thumb bridge test can be used for the T7 sensor / channel (the one touching the left temple). This sensor can not really be compressed. Instead, simply place your thumb on the sensor with light pressure. The corresponding channel should turn green as described above.
** If a particular channel / sensor is problematic and the thumb bridge test does not display a green color, remove the problematic sensor tip and replace it with another functional one. Perform the test as described above. If the channel works after the sensor tip has been replaced, the problem is not with the headset itself, but especially with this sensor tip. However, if you still see black after replacing the sensor and channel on the contact grade card, the problem is with the headset itself, not the sensors.
