How does GoBe3 count calories?

GoBe3 tracks your calorie intake automatically, no manual logging is needed. The device does not directly track what you eat, rather it tracks the energy consumed by your body. GoBe3 uses patented FLOW Technology and an impedance sensor to analyze changes in your body`s glucose concentration. As glucose concentrations rise, cells absorb glucose and release water. The impedance sensor sends high and low-frequency signals through your tissue to measure the fluid moving in and out of your cells. FLOW Technology then applies this information to an advanced algorithm to analyze this data and determine your calorie intake. GoBe registers calorie intake at the time when calories are absorbed by the body, at the stage of ingested nutrients reaching the blood.

Different stages of the digestion process occur at different times

1-2 hours - the process of chewing and swallowing
3-4 hours - the handling of food by digestive fluids
4-8 hours - digestion process
5-9 hours, and sometimes more than 24 hours - food is delivered to the suction area and enters the blood.

Some of these processes occur simultaneously, so the first portion of digested food may enter the blood after 15-30 minutes, and the main part of the meal - only after 3-4 hours, while the absorption period can be overlapped with the next meal. Depending on the composition of the meal, 90% of the food can appear in the blood after 1 hour (sweets, sugar) or up to 9-10 hours (complex dishes with meat and garnishes). The calorie calculation can take up more than six hours depending on what food you eat and how long the digestive process takes. The average deviation of the estimate is up to 12.8% for caloric intake and 10-24% for nutrient intake.

Calories at night

In general, food takes 24 to 72 hours to move through your digestive tract. The exact time depends on the amount and type of food you`ve eaten. The rate is also based on factors like your gender, metabolism, and whether you have any digestive issues that could slow down or speed up the process. At first, food travels relatively quickly through your digestive system. Within six to eight hours, the food has moved its way through your stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. Once in your large intestine, the partially digested contents of your meal can sit for more than a day while they're broken down even more. A study found that the average time food spends in the large intestine varies by gender: 33 hours for men and 47 hours for women. Your digestion rate is also based on what you`ve eaten. Meat and fish can take as long as two days to fully digest. The proteins and fats they contain are complex molecules that take longer for your body to pull apart. By contrast, fruits and vegetables, which are high in fiber, move through your system in less than a day. In fact, these high-fiber foods help your digestive track run more efficiently in general. The quickest foods to digest are processed, sugary junk foods like candy bars. Your body works through them in a matter of hours, quickly leaving you hungry again.The time you ate your lunch and the time you actually digest it may take up to 72 hours. This process never stops and you may see the results in your graph.

How does GoBe3 recognize if you are sleeping?

The GoBe3 performs a comprehensive sleep analysis by monitoring your heart rate and movement behavior during the night. The GoBe3 monitors your body's parameters every night so you can get a complete report on your sleep data.

How does GoBe3 measure your stress level?

The GoBe3 determines your stress level using a complex analysis

Piezo sensors identify an increased heart rate; An accelerometer measures the absence of physical activity at that moment;
Thanks to a sensor for electrodermal activity, GoBe3 measures every change in the skin and provides information about your state of mind and how you can counteract anxiety or stress in order to lead a healthy life.

The HealBe GoBe App

The GoBe app tracks the most important parameters of your body such as your calorie consumption, energy and water balance, stress level, your emotional state, the quality of sleep and your pulse. All captured data is synchronized with the app in real time. The GoBe informs you by vibration and a message on the bracelet display about the low water balance ("Low") and about the presence of emotional tension ("Emotion").

GoBe has two alarm functions

Smart Alarm: It tracks your sleep and wakes you when the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) phase is detected.
Quality Alert: It tracks your sleep and wakes you up only when you achieve the best quality of sleep.

Using the application, you can use the GoBe device to capture and evaluate the following indicators:

Amount of calorie intake in relation to calorie burning in the form of an energy balance
The amount and type of nutrients: fats, proteins, carbohydrates
Evaluation of the water balance in the body
change of emotional state
Measurement of the stress level
Pulse measurement
Number of steps and distance traveled
Detailed information about sleep (sleep quality, duration, effectiveness, recommendations for the next night)

Please note after the firmware update, each generation of the GoBe device will have a fully automatic calorie intake (without pressing a button to confirm the meal). The Healbe app is available on the App Store and the Google Play Store. Please make sure your mobile device is up-to-date to get the best Healbe "GoBe" results.

The application is compatible with most modern smartphones with Android with Bluetooth LE technology and the Android version from Android 4.3. (!) Frequently asked questions

When I first put on my GoBe3, I see the message "NO CONTACT" on the display, and the app tells me my GoBe3 doesn`t fit. How can I fix this?

It can take anywhere between 10 seconds and 3 minutes to make a connection between the sensor and your skin. To increase the speed of this connection, moisten the skin under the sensor with water, NOT lotion or other skincare products. If no connection is made between the sensor and skin after 15 minutes, the device will automatically switch off.

What does INIT mean when starting up my GoBe3?

This is short for "Initialize" and is indicating that your GoBe3 is on and ready to connect with the Healbe GoBe app.

How do I change my PIN-code?

Make sure your GoBe3 is connected to the mobile app via Bluetooth.
Choose the wristband icon at the top of the mobile app home screen
Scroll down and select "PIN Code"
Select "Change" and you will be prompted to reset your pin code.

If you do not remember your PIN code and need to reset it:

Log in to the mobile app with your email address and password and sync your GoBe3.
When it prompts you for your PIN code, select "Restore Pin"
Then Select "Request PUK-Code"
A message will pop up saying that a PUK code will be sent to the email address connected to your Healbe account.
The email can take up to 24 hours to appear in your email inbox.
Once you get to receive the PUK code via email, follow steps 1 and 2 above and then:
Enter the PUK code sent to you in the email
You will be prompted to reset your pin

Is the Healbe GoBe App available for Windows phones?

Currently, our app is only available on Android and iOS. We hope to expand to other operating systems in the future.

Is GoBe3 waterproof?

Yes. GoBe3 is waterproof up to 3 meters (9 ft. 10 in.). It cannot be worn in salt water or chlorinated water.
