Frequently, the stress manifests itself in a low load limit, fast irritability and exhaustion to inner restlessness (anxiety). A vicious circle, because the much needed rest can not be achieved in this way.
? But it is possible to relieve the inner restlessness with simple steps and some tools. So the way to a life with inner peace and relaxation succeeds!
What is inner trouble? Anxiety?
- The distinction
In medical history, the so-called "neurasthenia" was introduced in 1869.
It included the combination of irritability, weakness, fatigue and high sensitivity and anxiety.
At the time, the disease was considered the "fashion sickness" of the well-off male population.
At that time, in addition to cures and a kind of confrontation therapy allegedly also to questionable remedies such as the drug opium or the bloodletting was resorted to.
George Miller Beard, who introduced the concept of neurasthenia, considered the disease as a sociological phenomenon even then. He linked them with the strain of industrialization and the resulting demands.
Throughout history, neurasthenia has gone into terms such as anxiety disorder, burn-out or similar conditions. All of these diseases combine fear, exhaustion and nervousness.
Anxiety is one of the many symptoms of inner restlessness. But fear can play a big role in the appearance of inner restlessness. It does not matter if someone is sensitive to environmental stimuli or if there is a concrete event that scares us: everyone knows the feeling of fear. And the fear is not exclusively negative.
The feeling of an internal alarm is essential to our survival and prevents us from putting ourselves in danger. The body releases adrenaline and puts us in an attentive, ready-to-go mode.
The inner restlessness can therefore also be a normal physical reaction if there is an adequate trigger.
? Only when the fear constantly occurs and literally "leaches", can speak of an anxiety disorder. This can then be accompanied by inner restlessness and the inability to relax.
